The Set Is Out the Window
The set is out the window
The set is interesting. It’s a set of challenges, a set of opportunities, a set of connections. It’s a set that’s being challenged by a new paradigm, one that’s changing the way we connect. It’s a set that’s being challenged by two forces: 1. We’re learning more about the technology behind the internet. We’re seeing that people use different tools online than they ever have before, and that these tools are being used to disrupt an old technology. We’re also seeing that the web is a tool, not a page. 2. We’re learning more about how people interact with the internet. We’re seeing that the web is more about commerce than it’s ever been before. And we’re seeing that the web is a platform for sharing ideas, not a place for learning. And finally, we’re seeing that the internet is changing the way we do things in and out of the home. The web is a platform for sharing ideas. It’s a platform for alertness. But it’s a platform for distraction, for fear, for the full on, meaningless, meaningless, distraction. It’s a platform for the moment, and the moment is often our own.
