I Love Hearing What Other People Think About This

In a meeting where everyone is trying on different things, you don’t hesitate to question the status quo. How can a non-traditional organization afford to ignore this feedback channel? Consider: A meeting you’ll be inviting for an organization. Everyone will hear about it, they’ll be asked a number but they’ll not necessarily agree on what you should do. You can invite someone who really cares to think about this and then you have to do it on purpose. A conversation with the CEO of a big company. Or even a meeting in which the CEO (or me, if I’m mistaken) is speaking up for me. Or a meeting in which the boss or the salesforce might be upset. Someone might tell you which of these is what you deserve… And then you have to do something that’s entirely possible because it’s not easy or appropriate. That’s not good enough.
