I’m not alone. Yesterday, a study from Oxford Internet Research Group (OIRG) showed that 1 in 10 British Internet users (that’s about 1 in 5) is a new email junkie. That’s a level of Internet users that is absolutely mind-numbingly bad.

OIRG’s CEO Paul Kedrosky wrote an important post on the study titled Wildfires, Junk Email, and the State of the World’s Email Systems. He quotes David Cohen, the CEO of Techstars, as saying “I’d like to think we are the key investors in the evolution of the world’s email services. If you look at our portfolio, you’ll see that there is a huge amount of email service that is junk email.”
